ServiceTitan is a popular SaaS application supporting the commercial and residential Trade  industry with over 12,000 users. The app supports trades including HVAC, Plumbing, Roofing, Electrical and more. ServiceTitan manages the entire business life cycle of your trade business from scheduling appointments to creating invoices to managing service technicians and more. It’s essentially an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system for the trade industry.  As with any ERP it contains all the data your business needs to run, including accounting, inventory, personnel, customers, and more.  Additionally, ServiceTitan provides specialized applications for the landscaping industry (Aspire) and Pest Control industry (Fieldroutes) which they acquired in the last few years.  All together, ServiceTitan is a comprehensive suite of applications for the trade industry.

The Limitations of Built-in Analytics

While ServiceTitan’s applications are robust and do include some basic reporting capabilities, many companies want to do more advanced analytics, Business Intelligence, or even Machine Learning with their data in order to run their business better.  This can include use cases like historical trend analysis or future projections using machine learning.  In many cases companies may also want to combine their ServiceTitan data with data from other applications in order to gain a more complete picture of their business.  Sources could include Social Media for capturing customer reviews or third-party financial data for benchmarking against competitors and identifying industry trends are common examples.

Like most modern SaaS applications, ServiceTitan provides an API (Application Programming Interface) for its application.
