Pre-sales Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Pre-sales engineer will collaborate with the sales teams or account team (engineering, product support, customer service) by acting as a technical expert in customer presentations, proof of concepts, and deployments.
  • They must determine the technical requirements to meet client goals, set the Precog technical agenda on our competition, deliver the technical win, and act as liaison between the organization’s sales/business development and engineering/product and support groups.
  • They also respond to requests for information or requests for proposals from customers, supplying the technical details of proposed solutions.
  • Pre-sales engineers will coordinate the transition between pre-sales specifications and implementation engineering once contracts have been awarded.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience in engineering, information systems, or business administration.
  • Five years of industry experience, including two or more years in sales engineering.
  • Proven technology skills, outstanding interpersonal abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous knowledge of Python, analytical data warehouses, RDBMS, NoSQL, predictive analytical platforms, BI tools.
  • Attention to detail, plus analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Positive, service-oriented personality.
  • Willingness to travel on an as needed basis.
  • Located in Colorado is a bonus but not a requirement.

Cloud Operations Engineer and Architect

Description

Precog makes data available to everyone by productizing data engineering. We have a budding cloud service offering that we are scaling out to a growing number of customers. We are looking for someone who is excited to design, architect, and develop our AWS public cloud deployment strategy. This person will play an instrumental role in ensuring that our SaaS offering scales as the company grows. They will be responsible for distilling SaaS product requirements into a robust, secure, elastic, and scalable AWS cloud architecture. We are offering a unique and exciting opportunity to design and implement a greenfield public cloud deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, and implement a containerized cloud deployment strategy based on SaaS product requirements
  • Provision, configure, and maintain active deployments
  • Design and implement a cloud software upgrade strategy
  • Design and implement a cloud availability monitoring system
  • Collect usage metrics in order to optimize for common usage patterns
  • Monitor security and perform routine security assessments
  • Determine the most cost-effective deployment strategy that meets our needs
  • Document our AWS architecture, including the deciding factors behind key decisions
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure our cloud offering is in line with product requirements

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience in engineering or information systems
  • Five years of industry experience, including two or more years in AWS cloud operations
  • Experience designing, architecting, and implementing secure and scalable AWS public cloud deployments
  • Experience deploying, managing, and upgrading containerized applications
  • Experience with devops, programming, and scripting

Digital Marketing Manager

Description

The Marketing Manager role at Precog is all about capturing the excitement and energy of the fast paced data and analytics market. Leveraging multi-channel marketing to expose our game changing technology to a broader audience. And creating a clear position as the category leader of the “first mile” of the data pipeline.

Precog solves the challenge of the “firstmile” of the data pipeline. Our No Code solution lets users of any skill level access and use data from virtually any source. Our Marketing team members need to understand the basics of the data pipeline and analytics market. Ideally having worked in those areas before either as a marketer or practitioner.

Responsibilities

  • Own marketing campaign management, from ideation to performance analysis and iteration
  • Build marketing plans across paid and organic channels
  • Design, execute, and maintain PPC and paid social campaigns that make the most of our budget
  • Actively measure and execute A/B split testing to ensure optimal campaign performance
  • Develop the content calendar for demand generation, SEO and PR activities
  • Produce and publish content across all formats
  • Create product overviews and customer case studies across multiple formats, including video, blog, infographics, and more
  • Support website copy content with a focus on UX copywriting for experience and conversion
  • Collaborate with our marketing agency

Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
  • Experience in house or in agency or similar roles focusing on content and asset creation
  • Experience in shaping and rolling out a content strategy across multiple marketing channels
  • Strong copywriting skills including experience in SEO optimization and good knowledge of SEO copywriting
  • Experience across different formats (i.e., long-form, short-form, video, blogs, infographics, and webinars)
  • Experience with paid digital and offline channels, social, SEM, and more
  • Experience with WordPress websites, managing content, editing, general maintenance
